Anyway, how does one explain who Mauricio is in one sentence? Let me try with this: one of the original Rolls Gracie 'famous five', undefeated in all competitions, father of Roger Gracie and the person who kick started BJJ in the UK and made it the phenom that it is today.
Sound important enough? You bet.
Anyway, since I did not take part, I took photos, here are some - look out for his excruciatingly painful trademark technique simply referred to as 'knee on chest'. Ouch!

Having watched your seminar and John Hunt's at NKJJK when my fracture was healing, I know just how frustrating it is to miss out on something like this. I hope you got as much out of it as circumstances allowed.
Well, I got some photos out of it!
The trouble with photographing or videoing an event is that I have no idea what was being taught as I am concentrating on other things. All I know is that Mauricio is famous for his knee on chest and by the looks of things, it certainly hurts a lot.
It certainly does hurt a lot.
Has a guy called Marcus - strong, blue belt, dodgy hip - started training at Mill Hill recently? If so, tell him we miss him at the morning classes in Ladbroke Grove...
I'll ask next time I'm in training. Dodgy neck means a week off :(
